idoobi electric herb grinder on a marble block, black body with a clear grinding chamber

About idoobi

One product, made to do one job well

Built by someone who has ground herbs every day for 20 years.

Our story

A grinder that never needs cleaning and never gets stuck.

20years of grinding herbs, every single day
4kinds of grinder owned: metal, plastic, hand-twist and electric
1of them needed a hammer to get it open
0cleanings in almost a year with the idoobi

Every grinder with teeth ends the same way. Sticky herbs pack into the teeth, the lid gets harder to turn, and one day it does not open at all. It usually picks its moment, like a Friday night with guests on the way.

The idoobi exists so that never happens. It has no teeth to clog, so there is nothing to clean and nothing to get stuck. You set it over your herbs, press, and lift it off, and it works the same on day 300 as it did on day one.

The idea comes from our founder, Soheil Eghtesadi, who has ground herbs every day for 20 years and has owned just about every kind of grinder along the way. One of them stuck so badly it took a hammer to open. He has now used the same idoobi for close to a year without cleaning it once, and it still grinds.

Soheil is a Canadian entrepreneur from the Vancouver area who spent years importing products and selling them online. He shares what he has learned with hundreds of thousands of followers on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, where his videos have been watched hundreds of millions of times. That includes more than 20 million views on YouTube alone and single Instagram reels with over 3 million views. He put his name on the idoobi because it is the grinder he uses himself, every day.

In 20 years, no grinder has come remotely close to this. It is not even a comparison.

Why does stainless steel do the grinding?

Steel grinds.
Plastic only holds.

Whatever you grind, you are going to consume. That is why Soheil did not want plastic teeth doing the grinding.

Stainless steel chainThe only part that grinds. It spins in open space and does not touch the chamber wall.
Plastic body and clear chamberThey hold the herbs, but they do not grind them.

What did we do differently?

Four decisions that came from using grinders, not from selling them.

One step grindSet it down, press, lift off. No twisting and nothing to unscrew.
Nothing to clogA stainless steel chain does the grinding, so there are no teeth to pack up.
A spare in every boxReviews of other chain grinders showed the chain is what people wear out. We include a second one.

How does idoobi compare to a manual grinder?

A manual grinder takes twisting, effort and regular cleaning. The idoobi takes one press and 2 to 6 seconds.
